Project Challenge
Waste tires are bulky, non-biodegradable, and fire-prone. Stockpiling and open burning cause severe air, soil, and water pollution—safe, high-value recycling remains a major environmental challenge.
Process Configuration
An integrated line of “shredding + Steel wire separator+Magnetic separator+Cyclone collector+Dust removal system”: tires are fed into a shredder, steel wire is removed by magnetic separation, fiber is separated by air classification, and rubber is granulated into crumb rubber. Negative-pressure dust collection controls dust and odor throughout.
Separation Result
-
Steel: recovery rate ≥95%, sent to metal recyclers
-
Fiber: collected and reused as filler material
-
Rubber crumb: 10–40 mesh, used for rubberized asphalt, playground surfaces, and molded products
-
Overall volume reduction: ≥70%; resource recovery rate: ≥85%
Customer Outcome
Same-day collection and processing; storage footprint cut by 40%; transport trips reduced by 60%; steel and crumb rubber generate steady revenue, cutting annual operating costs by ~25%. The project meets environmental standards and supports circular economy goals, becoming a regional tire recycling demonstration site.
