Project Challenge
Scrap car bodies are bulky, mixed in material, and costly to transport. Improper disposal causes resource waste and environmental pollution—efficient dismantling and material recovery remain a key challenge.
Process Configuration
An integrated line of “shredding + magnetic separation + eddy current separation + dust removal”: car bodies are fed into a shredder, ferrous metals are recovered by magnet, non-ferrous metals (aluminum, copper) are separated by eddy current separator, and residual material is classified for further processing. Negative-pressure dust collection controls dust throughout.
Separation Result
-
Ferrous metals: recovery rate ≥95%, sent to steel mills
-
Non-ferrous metals: aluminum and copper recovered for smelting
-
Residual fluff: processed into RDF or safely disposed
-
Overall volume reduction: ≥70%; resource recovery rate: ≥85%
Customer Outcome
Same-day collection and processing; storage footprint cut by 40%; transport trips reduced by 60%; ferrous and non-ferrous metals generate steady revenue. The project meets environmental standards and supports circular economy goals, becoming a regional vehicle recycling demonstration site.
